Utilities Cost Recovery - Aggregate Industries

Aggregate Industries engaged PCMG to carry out an audit of historical electricity and water costs, with the aim of identifying cost recoveries and future savings opportunities.

The team provided PCMG with a selection of copy invoices and login details to their suppliers’ online billing portals.

PCMG sourced the remaining data direct from suppliers, regional DNOs (distribution network operators), data collectors and meter operators and undertook a thorough analysis of 6 years historical billing.

Costs Recovery & Dispute Resolution

PCMG compiled the findings of this analysis into a comprehensive report. The findings, which included a number of billing errors and overpayments, were discussed and next actions were agreed. Following this, PCMG submitted the identified overpayments to Aggregate Industries' suppliers and managed the cost recovery process from end to end, providing regular progress updates over scheduled calls.

  • £169,000 in refunds secured
  • £28,000 in annual savings
  • Errors identified in DUoS, DC/DA, Surface Water and Sewerage Charges

"PCMG used their in-depth knowledge of utilities infrastructure charging to identify significant cost savings, which were implemented seamlessly alongside our existing cost reduction initiatives. They delivered a highly detailed analysis and an impressive level of customer service."
